Love in the movies has got to be one of the best types of love. Why? Well, it’s passionate, problems always get resolved within a couple of hours and, best of all, it comes with its own soundtrack!! Film makers manage to find songs that not only capture the essence of the movie, but also express universal feelings about love that keep the song playing on the radio long after the movie has disappeared from the big screen.

Finding some of the best movie love songs was not a hard task. The hard part was not making this list ten pages long. Of course, new songs are being added all the time, so it is possible I have spoken too soon. Movie love songs express feelings of undying affection and eternal devotion. Of course, sometimes you get a song that expresses feelings of loss and longing for a love affair that has ended. Either way, the good ones trigger a connection inside of us that we don’t want to let go of.

The best thing about movie love songs is that it often brings up memories about the movie. After all, who can listen to “Everything I Do (I Do it for You)” by Bryan Adams without envisioning Kevin Costner and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio swinging down on the rope? Or hear “Unchained Melody” without thinking about Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze playing on the pottery wheel?
